Refund and Returns Policy

At The Yellow Mustard, we strive to provide our customers with a delightful and hassle-free food experience. However, due to the perishable nature of food and our made-to-order model, cancellations and refunds are subject to the following terms:


1. Order Cancellation

a. Before Preparation Starts

  • You may cancel your order within 5 minutes of placing it, provided food preparation has not started.
  • Cancellation requests must be made immediately via phone at +91 9004388798 or through the platform used (Zomato/Swiggy).

b. After Preparation Has Started

  • Once the kitchen has started preparing your food, cancellation is no longer possible.
  • In such cases, no refund will be issued.

c. Bulk / Corporate Orders

  • For pre-booked or corporate orders, cancellation must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
  • If canceled after this period, a partial or no refund will apply, depending on procurement and preparation status.

2. Refunds

Refunds are issued only in the following cases:

a. Wrong Item Delivered

  • If you receive an incorrect item or the order is incomplete, please notify us within 30 minutes of delivery.
  • We will either:
    • Replace the missing/wrong item (subject to availability), or
    • Issue a partial/full refund

b. Food Quality Concerns

  • If you genuinely find an issue with food quality (e.g. spoilage or contamination), please contact us immediately with:
    • Order ID
    • Photo of the item
    • Description of the issue

Our team will review the case and offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.

c. Order Not Delivered

  • If the order is not delivered due to reasons from our side (e.g. kitchen or logistics failure), a full refund will be issued.

Note: We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather conditions, or issues with third-party delivery platforms.


3. How Refunds Are Processed

  • For online payments, refunds will be made to the original payment method (card, UPI, wallet, etc.).
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • For cash on delivery (COD), eligible refunds may be processed via bank transfer or UPI.

4. No Refund Scenarios

  • Order canceled after preparation has started
  • Incorrect address provided by the customer
  • Repeated complaints without valid reason or misuse of policy
  • Unattended delivery (customer unreachable during delivery)
